Holmes is pleased to announce the 2011 Postgraduate Scholarship has been awarded to Anna Rocamora in recognition for her outstanding study in the Bachelor of Professional Accounting.

Anna, originally from the Philippines, came to Holmes having already completed a degree in Computer Science at the University of the City of Manila. Looking at consolidating her work experience gained since acquiring this degree, Anna determined that she wanted to eventually achieve a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

To help broaden her skills base Anna was looking to study in a western culture, in a safe environment, a temperate climate and with a course structure that suited her needs. She found all of this at Holmes Australia.

As part of her plan to achieve her MBA, Anna studied and completed her Professional Accounting degree and is now planning on becoming a member of the illustrious Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) who's membership is recognised all over the world.

Moving into the MBA is the next stage in Anna fulfilling her life goals with an MBA recognised worldwide. Staying at Holmes seemed the most logical of steps for Anna as she was already familiar with the course structure and knew the instructors well. The smaller class size of Holmes allowed her to get a really personalised education experience. The most decisive factor in her decision though was she recognised the outstanding quality of the learning and teaching delivered at Holmes and wanted to gain as much as she could from her course.

Receiving the full fee paying scholarship allows Anna to concentrate on her studies as well as provide a wonderful career boost to include on her curriculum vitae. As Anna says: "the sense of personal achievement in winning the scholarship against stiff competition has helped encourage and inspire me to reach for even higher academic success." She also adds that "Holmes has the concern and the heart in providing the scholarship and for this I am extremely grateful".
