The Class of 2011 Graduates
Both Year 12 HSC and Year 12 VCE students were the focus of very important assemblies marking the end of their academic year and celebration of their time at Holmes Secondary College. These students were joined by the whole community in recognition of their membership to the Class of 2011 and the school was able to make a number of awards including subject prizes, the Principal’s Award, as well as Dux of the School, for both of the campuses.
Meaningful contributions were made by the departing students themselves as they shared their own reflections to the school of their journey through the challenging year that is Year 12. A common theme was their collective appreciation that each of their teachers made in assisting them through their studies across all subjects. These graduation ceremonies were preceded by a farewell dinner the night before where both staff and students were able to socialise and relax together over a three course meal.
We congratulate both KANG Xinwen (Melbourne) and GU Zhonghui (Sydney) who were awarded Dux of the School for their respective campus.
